About Mrs. Chambers

Only if a child feels right can that child think right.”

Hello fantastic fourth grade families!  Just as I am thrilled to get to know all of you, I thought that it might be helpful if I shared a little bit about myself.  I am so honored and proud to share that this is my sixth year of teaching at the most amazing elementary school, Peakview Elementary.  Prior to teaching fourth grade, I had the privilege of teaching the most inspirational second grade students and I student-taught in fourth grade at Peakview with the phenomenal teacher Mrs. Brown.

I am happy to share that I was born and raised in Colorado. I graduated from the International Baccalaureate (IB) program at Thornton High School in Thornton, Colorado. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Communications with honors from Chapman University in Orange, California. I earned my Master of Education with honors and Teaching Credential in Elementary Education (K-6) from Regis University in Denver, Colorado.  After earning my first graduate degree, I earned the added endorsement of Gifted and Talented Specialist (P-12) to my Colorado Teaching Credentials.  I also earned my Master of Arts degree with honors in Gifted Education from Regis University.

Last year, I completed my Educational Leadership Principal Licensure program with honors from Regis University and was a member of the 2016-2017 Colorado Association of School Executives (CASE) Leadership Development Diversity Program.  I am elated to share that, in June 2017, I began studying at the University of Colorado Denver to earn my Doctor of Education in Leadership for Educational Equity degree.  In July, I completed my first two doctoral courses and am eager to continue my doctoral studies in the autumn.

This year, I look forward to returning as a fourth grade professional educator.  I will also continue to serve as a Board Member of the Colorado Association for Gifted and Talented (CAGT), as a member of the Cherry Creek School District (CCSD) District Accountability Committee, and the CCSD District PASS Committee, and I will present for various national, state, and local teacher and parent groups.

Outside of school, I absolutely love spending time with my husband, Ryan, daughter, Mikayla, and son, Elijah. In addition, I thoroughly enjoy attending my students’ extra curricular activities, going to school, practicing as a Taekwondo martial artist, and riding dirt bikes.
